One of the nice things about BasiEgaXorz is that someone made a "BEX Suite" with examples, tools and the IDE all installable in one go. With the SGDK there is none of that. Not only must you figure out C but how to configure one of many IDEs. It should not be a rite of passage to get Eclipse to compile your first Sega Genesis "Hello World".
Just an idea. Someday I'll implement it myself. That would be: Suite ~_^

Yeah, you're spot on, there should be no "barriers" to entry.
